Worldwide Exchange Student Services
Students traveling abroad can depend on the guidance of an experienced International Fellowship Foreign Representative, a national familiar with the country's laws and customs. Foreign Representatives carefully screen Host Homes/Families, provide placement and orientation services, and support the Student throughout his/her stay.
In the United States, Area Directors perform similar services to help the Student derive the maximum benefit from the exchange experience.
At International Fellowship headquarters, a network of qualified Staff are available to assist with all aspects of the Exchange Student Program.
Worldwide Exchange Student ServicesIn the Foreign Department, a multi-lingual Staff can converse with Students and Families in their native language. They review incoming applications, coordinate activities with Foreign Representatives, answer questions and help resolve problems as they arise.
Each Student's placement status is monitored monthly through written reports from the Student and Host Family, as well as through monthly telephone calls placed by International Fellowship Staff to Students, Schools, and Host Families.
Records Department Personnel assist families to complete forms and obtain necessary documents. They also establish and maintain a permanent file for each student.
The Transportation Department makes all travel arrangements for both Domestic and International Air Transportation (if applicable), mailing detailed itineraries to School Principals, International Fellowship Staff, Students, and Host Families. They also make travel plans for the International Fellowship Tour that students may opt to take during their stay in the United States.
